PetVita Terms of Use

Acceptance

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the PetVita application, operated by THIAGO FLOSINO FERREIRA LEITE TECNOLOGIA LTDA, registered under Brazilian company ID (CNPJ) 30.944.384/0001-61 ("PetVita", "we"). By creating an account or using the app, you state that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not use the app.

The service

PetVita is an Android application for pet guardians to organize their pets' health and daily routine information in one place: pet registration, vaccination records, medications and preventive treatments, food tracking, weight, photos, documents, and reminders. Features that are not yet available in the app (for example, the nearby services directory) are not promised by these Terms and only apply once they are made available. PetVita does not provide veterinary care, does not replace professional consultation, and does not guarantee the accuracy of data entered by the user.

Your account

Access to the app is provided through authentication by Firebase (Google). You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must provide truthful information when signing up and keep it up to date. Each account is personal — for individual use by the guardian; family sharing will only be available once the feature is released.

Content you submit

You are solely responsible for the information, photos, and documents you register about your pets. By uploading a file, you state that you have the right to do so and grant PetVita the license needed solely to store, process (image compression, metadata removal, thumbnail generation), and display that content back to you within the app. We do not send your content to third parties beyond the infrastructure providers described in the Privacy Policy. Every uploaded file is scanned before becoming accessible; files identified as malicious are blocked and never made available.

Health information disclaimer

Health information recorded in the app (vaccines, medications, weight, health conditions) is for organizational purposes only and does not constitute a diagnosis, prescription, or veterinary guidance. Reminders generated by the app are a memory aid and do not replace follow-up with a licensed veterinarian. In case of an emergency or any doubt about your pet's health, seek in-person veterinary care.

Plans and limits

PetVita offers a free plan, with 1 active pet and up to 20 files per pet (photos and documents combined), and a Premium plan, with unlimited pets and unlimited files per pet, subject to the account's total storage quota. The limits in effect for each plan are shown in the app and may be adjusted with reasonable prior notice.

These Terms state no price. The price and conditions of Premium are the ones shown on Google Play at the time of purchase, and that offer is the one that applies to you.

Premium subscription

Premium is a subscription purchased with your Google account through Google Play, billed monthly or yearly. The subscription renews automatically, for the same period, until it is cancelled. Billing is handled by Google Play, and the price and conditions shown on Google Play at the time of purchase are the ones that apply. If the price changes, Google Play notifies you in advance, before the next charge.

You can cancel at any time in Google Play > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid, and until then you keep the Premium features. Deleting your PetVita account does not cancel the subscription: cancel it first on Google Play so you are not charged again.

When the subscription ends, your data stays stored, but the features above the free plan become unavailable until you subscribe again. There is no free trial period.

Refunds and withdrawal

Refund requests follow the Google Play refund policy. Whoever purchased the subscription may withdraw within 7 days of purchase (article 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Defense Code), by asking through Google Play or at contato@petvita.tech, with a refund of the amount paid.

Availability

We make reasonable efforts to keep the app continuously available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Scheduled or emergency maintenance may cause temporary unavailability. We are not liable for losses arising from unavailability outside our reasonable control.

Termination

You may close your account at any time by requesting deletion from within the app (Profile > Privacy > Delete my account), which triggers our data deletion process. Closing your account does not cancel the Premium subscription on Google Play; see the "Premium subscription" section. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, use the app fraudulently, or put the security of other users at risk, with notice when possible.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in the app or in applicable law. Each new version is identified by a publication date. When we publish a new version, it requires a new acceptance in the app for you to keep using it; each version's acceptance is recorded with a date.

Governing law and forum

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. The courts of the São Gonçalo/RJ district are elected to settle any disputes arising from these Terms, waiving any other, however privileged, except where consumer-protection forum rules provide otherwise.
